 Committees

All work performed within the CFA Society of Sweden is done by members on a voluntary basis. The organization running day to day work consists of 6 different committees. The rate of autonomy for the committees and their staff is high in our society. Committee chairs suggest projects, activities and budgets to the Board. The Board approves committee budgets, where overall budget constraints and composition of member offerings are considered.

The high rate of growth we are experiencing means that the workload is increasing, but also and that the variety of tasks is growing as we develop our service offering. The board is constantly evaluating the organizational structure and we expect the number of committees to grow, like the need for more personnel in each one of them. We encourage all members to consider serving on one of our committees. The level of commitment in terms of time is very flexible – we are grateful for the help we can get!

IT
The IT Committee’s main responsibility is running our website www.cfasweden.se, and our mailserver. Being a non-profit organization relying solely on volunteer work, we emphasize use of e-mail communication and providing information through the website. This is both cost and and time-efficient way for us to serve our members and other parties. Needless to say, the uptime of our servers and accuracy of data is of the essence.
